Reading Reflection No. 1 Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacsn

For this assignment, I read the biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacsn. The portrait of Steve Jobs on forty interviews from his friends in high school to their parents that adopted him for college to make their education better. One of the thing that supreme thew most was the decision that he had for his goal, that he believes things that people said that where impossible. The idea of entrepreneur that most admire was when the time spends in his purpose; he will go day and night with their engines in to create something that nobody had thought in their life. The thing that I didn't like at all of his entrepreneurship was how he treated his workers they make a mistake and will fire you, and how he lost his company at one point by being selfish and people that he works head him of how he treats them. What happening in 1970 the influence or competencies that Steve Jobs was to create various companies. Built PC the biggest competition of Steve Jobs. The part when he wanted to attempt Reed College instead of Stamford or Berkley. If I could ask a question to the entrepreneur, will why do stay with steve jobs after he treated you so bad and not give you any recognition?
In the end, I believe this book is excellent, and if you have time, you should read it. The things that Steve Jobs did to the world was an innovation in the twentieth century.

  1. Hey Ricardo,
I love the post about Steve Jobs man, he really inspires a lot of people to come out of mental illness and personal issues to go out and get whats theirs. He has personally motivated me to be a better person and a harder worker. There are times when I want to quit but I use his story as a push forward to myself.

  2. Ricardo,

Steve Jobs certainly had a very different way of thinking than most people. In some ways, this is what made him a revolutionary and a great entrepreneur, but I understand that his genius did not extend to his personal life, struggling with many relationships even through commercial success. The cutthroat fashion in which he would fire employees is just one example of this darker side of Steve Jobs. I’m wondering who you are asking your hypothetical question to? I don’t understand how Steve Jobs could leave Steve Jobs! The fact that Steve Wozniak was able to stick it out through Steve Jobs’ personality is impressive, and what Steve Jobs was able to accomplish in terms of technology and ushering in the next wave for society was groundbreaking.

  3. Hey Ricardo,

I also chose Steve. I like how you pointed out Steve's determination which was supremely important in getting Apple off the ground and taking it to be one of the largest companies today. Their market cap is near 1Trillion. However, I would also like to emphasise his management style as cutthroat and brutal. However, it can be argued that this style of unyielding determination and unyielding pursuit of perfection is what led apple to be where it is today.

  4. Hey Ricardo,
Your analysis of the book was quite detailed and further gave me insight into the life and entrepreneurship skills Steve Jobs maintained throughout his early life. I found the post to be quite interesting and helped me further understand what questions I may ask Jobs if I had ever encountered him. Further, the details regarding his first company was quite necessary to instill a level of business growth.
